The Role

5+ PQE Senior Property Lawyer to join leading Dorset regional firm

Following continued growth, the firm seeks an experienced Property Lawyer to join a small yet high performing team in Beaminster.

The role is varied, suiting a lawyer that enjoys a mix of high-end residential work and commercial property.

Within Residential, the team supports plot sales and new developments, unregistered land, land registration, stamp duty land tax/land transaction tax, leasehold enfranchisement, lease extensions.

On the commercial side, this including freehold and leasehold property, commercial leases, options, conditional contracts, promotion and other strategic land agreements and issues, overage, estate development, and property management work.

The firm is open-minded in terms of speaking to those that have a preference for either area, but wish remain exposed to both.

As clients are often landed with agriculture interests, those with experience in this area or are willing to develop their expertise are desired.

All the Property team have 1-2-1 secretarial support, have the remit to work flexibility whilst engaging with clients to bolster existing relationships whilst looking to generate new business.

In spirit with the firm's commitment to progression, development into Partnership is very much is on the horizon, with senior leaders in the business looking to retire in the next few years and mentor those keen to inherit their positions.

The Requirements

• 5+ years PQE in a mix of residential and commercial property, allowing for a preference in either, but with continued exposure to both.
• Ideally, prior experience and/or willingness to engage with agricultural clients
• Friendly approach to providing legal advise
• Sound knowledge and commitment to the local community
