**Be at the heart of compliance with a leading online education provider**

University College of Estate Management (UCEM) is long-standing and leading provider of supported online education. We exist to provide accessible, relevant and cost-effective education which enhances careers, increases professionalism and leads to a better Built Environment; we are also very passionate about sustainability. Operating from the UK and Hong Kong we have a global reach, and at any one time over 3,500 students are studying online with us.

Due to increasing compliance requirements and work demands, we now require dedicated, in-house, specialist legal and compliance support. You will formally act as the named Data Protection Officer for UCEM, making sure we meet all legislative and compliance requirements of the Data Protection Act (2018), the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (“UK GDPR”) and the Freedom of Information Act (2000).

In this new role, you will provide expert support to colleagues across UCEM on a broad range of contractual and legal matters, including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts across UCEM, and providing specialist advice to colleagues. Previous experience in a similar role is a must; before applying, please review the full job specification on the jobs section of our website (www.ucem.ac.uk/jobs) to gain a greater understanding of the duties, responsibilities and person requirements associated with this role.

At UCEM we expect employees to demonstrate our values: Passion, Integrity, Excellence and Support. Student satisfaction and success are our main drivers and our people consistently report high levels of employee satisfaction; your contribution will be valued, should you join us.
