This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity to join a leading legal 500 law firm and develop your career further, with a market leading UK specialist in IT and Data Protection. you will have the opportunity to work closely with, and learn from true experts in the field.

A leading legal 500 law firm are looking for an IT and Data Protection solicitor to work alongside their industry leading Partner

You will be Based in our clients Birmingham Office (but undertaking local, national and international IT and Data Protection law work), you will:- advise on all aspects of IT and Data Protection transactional work (eg SaaS contracts, software development contracts, IT outsourcing and BPO, intra-group data sharing arrangements, data processing arrangements) - advise on Data Protection compliance projects and enquiries (eg assisting with DPIAs, Article 30 registers and other UK GDPR and Data Protection Act requirements, privacy policies, PECR) - undertake Business Development activities to help build our local, national and international technology law offering - manage, supervise and train junior lawyers

The ideal candidate with have 3+ PQE experience gained at a leading law firm. You must have excellent technical skills being a Privacy lawyer that does IT transactional work as well. You will be a commercially-minded lawyer, and be prepared to turn your hand to a wide range of IT and Data Protection work.
