Legal Manager - Debt Recovery

Job Title: Legal Counsel - Debt Recovery
Location: South Manchester
Basic Salary: Up to £45k + Package
Working Pattern: Currently fully remote. Post Covid plan to offer full flexibility but with the option to work from their South Manchester base

Douglas Scott are working with a leading technology business, on the search for a new Legal Counsel to join their small but growing in-house legal team.

Reporting into the Head of Legal, you will be responsible for leading the debt recovery function within the business and heading up a small team of debt recovery professionals.

The ideal candidate will be likely be responsible for the following (but not limited to):

• Supervising the day-to-day work and operations of the Debt Recovery Team
• Running your own caseload of debt recovery matters
• Managing and supporting a small team of debt recovery professionals.
• Regular reporting into the Head of Legal on team performance
• Strategic oversight of the department processes in order to ensure maximum performance within the team.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Prior experience within commercial recoveries from a legal setting;
• Prior management experience within a debt recovery team;
• Comprehensive understanding of Contract Law and the Civil Procedure Rules;
