An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Locum Research Contracts Manager to join an academic institution based in South West on a remote working basis.  This assignment will be for an initial 3 month period to provide cover within the department and is offered on an Outside IR35 basis.

This is a great opportunity to join an established research team to assist with a wide variety of contracts matters.   It is essential for this role that you have experience of advising and dealing with Commercial matters relating specifically with Universities including collaboration and confidentiality agreements.  Additionally, experience advising on agreements with external partners on research matters would be desirable for this role.

Duties of the role will include:

-          Negotiating, drafting and advising on a wide range of education commercial contracts including collaboration agreements, funding agreements, academic partnerships, research & development contracts and non-disclosure agreements

-          Advising the organisation on the commercialisation of IP matters

-          Reviewing internal procedures and policies relating to contracts

-          Advising on risk management and providing corporate advise to the organisation

The position would be suited to an experienced lawyer who has a strong background of working within a public or private sector organisation dealing specifically with Intellectual Property matters.  We will consider applications from qualified Solicitors, Legal Executives and non-qualified lawyers with relevant experience. 

This position is offered on a full-time basis, however the client will consider part-time applications.
