A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a commercial solicitor to join a thriving regional firm in their Leeds city centre office.
In this role you will be well supported and will quickly grow and develop your skills as you work alongside an experienced partner and senior solicitor who are very well regarded in the market. You will work as part of a strong corporate commercial team but will be able to focus exclusively on high value commercial work, much of which is for household name clients.
Our client has a reputation for recruiting solicitors from the larger national/international firms who then not only fit in well and enjoy it but also then stay for the long term and really flourish in their careers. They have substantial client that they have acted on behalf of for many years, some of whom they act for as a an extended in house counsel giving you the opportunity to work hand in hand with the client. Some of the work that they do for them is at the cutting edge, and whilst they have a slight sector niche they also have breadth within their clients which is healthy and a really positive environment for juniors to hone their skills within.
Ideally, they are looking for a recently qualified Commercial Solicitor or someone coming up to qualification this September, and are the kind of firm that expects you to have a decent work life balance rather than constantly working unsociable hours. Many of the lawyers within this practice have been with them for a considerable period of time, some Partners were previously Trainees so whilst you may be joining at a junior stage in your career there is plenty of scope for progression and career opportunity for people with the right attitude and approach.
Given new ways of working, you are not likely to need to be in the office 100% of the time. Depending upon your ability to work effectively from home there is likely to be some home working if desired, this may mean that those a little further away geographically are able to consider this career building role.
