The Role

2-5 PQE Projects Lawyer to join Tier 1 team in support of Health Sector

The team are regarded as the leaders nationally in this niche, yet very much sort after field of expertise.

Due to unprecedented growth within the sector and subsequent access to capital, the firm is seeking to expand the thriving team to advise on the development of new hospitals, best practice initiatives, PFI and LIFT variations, staff housing, plus a multitude of other developments that arise from major NHS and private sector investment.

The team is also hands on in advising upon commercial transactions including: joint ventures, commercial ventures and partnerships; managed equipment contracts; new models of care provision in the NHS; outsourcing and shared services, contract renegotiation and termination.

Within the role, you will support the delivery of projects and commercial transactions, assist in the variation of existing PFI contracts whilst advising on shared service and new/alternative delivery.

Client engagement is key to the team's success, as it keeps in a narrative with lawyers with other specialities.

The Requirements

  • 2+ PQE in projects
  • Experience in advising health bodies, be it within the public and/or private sector
  • Willingness to develop legal expertise, coupled with a hunger to progress and specialise within the team
  • Creativity in solving problems, along with the communication skills and foresight required to form and nurture relationships with colleagues and clients alike.
