PROCUREMENT LAWYER NQ-5 LEEDS, BIRMINGHAM OR BRISTOL

Our client has one of the leading specialist teams in Procurement Law in the UK, and acts on substantial projects across a broad range of sectors from heath to leisure, transport and infrastructure, regeneration, energy and education. As such they are at the forefront of the delivery on government policy and the challenges of procurement as a complex sector both at strategic advisor stage and potentially if litigation occurs. This role is to be part of the core team in London, but the firm has embraced remote working and so specifically they're looking to appoint in Leeds, Birmingham or Bristol.

Suitable candidates must have had some touchpoints with Procurement in their careers thus far so as to be able to share a demonstrable interest in going down this track. (If you're asking "what is procurement law?" then it's probably not for you.) You may have had a Trainee seat in projects and procurement work, or perhaps you'll be coming from a Local Authority background. or you might even be a proven procurement law specialist looking to change firm.

NQ-5yrPQE is the rough guidance given as an indicator of experience, and at the lower end this client does expect to help someone to consolidate their experience to date and build their confidence.

Massively important in this role is attitude, and having a passion for the work you are doing. Given the societal and political aspect to it then Procurement should be an interesting choice for a lawyer who is interested in politics and current affairs and your legal work will be contributing to the delivery of facilities and projects UK-wide.

An outstanding opportunity with a leading firm in acting for public sector, non-profit and institutional clients.

Brooke Thornham Consulting advertisements use PQE levels purely as a guide to the level of experience required for the role and this does not prohibit applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills and experience. We aim to respond to enquiries as soon as possible but if we have not contacted you within 5 days then unfortunately on this occasion your application has not quite met the requirements of our client closely enough.
