Paralegal Job - Bristol - Litigation

Your new company
This is an international law firm with an excellent reputation for being progressive, modern and commercially focussed. With an already well established Bristol offering, this firm is in growth mode and looking to hire bright and ambitious staff members at a range of levels; they are currently looking for an experienced paralegal to join their team in Bristol. The team are currently working remotely however post-COVID you will be required to commute to their office in Bristol, therefore it is likely that you will live within commuting distance.

Your new role
Joining a very successful team of paralegals, you will be offering support to a range of lawyers in a number of legal areas. You will be part of a central team providing process-based and ad-hoc matter support to a range of legal teams alongside other paralegals, apprentices and administrators. Once you have gained necessary experience and skills, you will have the opportunity to work within those legal teams on an occasional informal internal placement basis. Subject to business need, these placements may be up to around 10 months each, with direct associate supervision, giving you a broad paralegal experience and helping to build relationships with people across the whole office. You will have the opportunity to work with talented lawyers and a wide range of clients in a fast-paced environment. You will receive first class training and support from the outset and work alongside some very talented people. Gaining experience in a wide range of legal areas, predominantly in insurance - you will be exposed to Professional and Financial Risks, Employment, Property, Casualty and Construction. The firm are keen to provide an environment where you can develop both your legal and business skills. You will perform a number of tasks including (but not limited to) drafting letters, legal research, costs budgets, contract review, liaison with clients and third parties.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Law LLB or GDL graduate ideally with two years plus experience in a litigious / insurance area gained at a known firm. You will be a confident and able communicator who is well-organised and has excellent attention to detail. You will be hardworking and able to adapt in an ever changing working environment. An interest in insurance law is advantageous as is the LPC qualification however these are not pre-requisites. Attitude and personality as well as good academics are key.
