Head of Private Client

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join one of Greater Manchester’s most reputable firms as a Head of Department. 

In this role, you’ll lead a close-knit specialist private client team and take your own diverse and interesting caseload on behalf of local and HNW clients.  

You’ll also oversee the management of the court of protection team and will be involved in business development activity and marketing in order to helping to grow both teams further.  

You’ll predominantly be office-based but will have the option of remote working. What’s more, the firm are open to considering part time (4 days a week) for the right candidate.

As Head of Department, you’ll oversee both the private client and Court of Protection teams and be actively involved in growing the firm’s offering in these areas 

At the same time, you’ll be responsible for a varied private client caseload including wills, trusts, power of attorney and probate work

Commutable from Manchester, Stockport, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, Oldham, Rochdale, High Peak

The ideal candidate 

A Private Client Solicitor with 8+ years’ PQE 
Will be able to autonomously run a varied private client caseload 

May be STEP qualified, although this is not essential 
Will have experience of managing or mentoring junior colleagues 
Someone with an empathetic, calm and caring nature and excellent client care skills 
An articulate and personal communicator who enjoys business development and networking
