Commercial In-House Lawyer

Commercial In-House Lawyer required for new role with an international company which is a leader in its field. To be based in either Leeds or Manchester. Experience of  data privacy matters distinct advantage to any application but not essential.

Due to a significant increase in workloads, our client is looking to appoint a Commercial In-House lawyer with a key focus on data protection and privacy work.

The work will involve delivering advice on data and privacy matters, such as compliance programs, GDPR implementation support as well as other advisory work; drafting and reviewing data processing and sharing agreements for client and supplier facing activities, including under SCC/model clauses; Supporting the management of contractual and commercial risk through the provision of commercially oriented and solution focused legal advice; Ensuring that corporate governance and corporate policy (whether defined at a global or regional level) are maintained in relation to contract approvals.

The firm’s preference would be for someone with up to 4PQE in Commercial and a demonstrable experience of data protection, with your training and experience gained at a national or regional firm recognised for outsourcing and IT related matters. Having said that, our client is also open to considering those candidates with a higher PQE and more experience.
