Job Details

This top 100 firm has a different approach to the traditional private practice model. They have a fluid team structure allowing their partners to fee-earn, business develop and build their practice to its maximum potential.

The Firm

The firm has experienced significant growth over the last 24 months and has experienced a 50+% increase in revenue since 2018. With consistent growth since 2013, now is the time to join this heavy-hitting, commercially minded giant of a law firm.

The firm is a full-service law firm but has particular expertise across Real Estate, Dispute Resolution, Corporate and Private Client work.

They have a brilliant ethos which sees the client's services by entire teams of Lawyers and Partners rather than individuals, and they believe that collaboration releases untapped potential in their people. Their culture is one of positivity, enthusiasm and focused around the people that work there. They nurture legal talent and provide a career structure which is based on merit, without the usual confusing application process and box-ticking exercise

They also have a good structure in which they separate the senior management team from the fee earners so that Solicitors can focus on technical law rather than finance and management.

There are no glass ceilings here at all, with no earning limits and pointless pay grades which reward on a level of experience rather than taking into account the individual and the value they add to the firm.

About the Role

The firm is seeking to hire an Intellectual Property Partner to join an ever-growing team in their Leeds office.

You will be responsible for further building or developing your own client base in the region, adopting the firm's ethos and working alongside the other Partners to build the brand further ensuring future success for you and your team.

  • IP licensing and exploitation
  • Protection and enforcement
  • IP rights
  • Commercial Contracts
  • and Partnership Agreements

If you are a talented Partner seeking full autonomy - this firm will work with you closely to facilitate this offering full support to ensure the continued success of the department.

Requirements:

  • You will be an Intellectual Property Solicitor with at least 8+ years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)
  • Experience of managing a team is to advantage, but not essential
  • A portable client base of some degree isn't essential, but highly preferred
  • You will have a strong network of connections

What's on offer?

  • A highly competitive salary
  • Industry-leading benefits package
  • Excellent Partnership structure
