Sellick Partnership is delighted to be assisting an East Midlands based Local Authority with recruitment for a permanent Principal Childcare Lawyer.
Our client is seeking a permanent Principal Childcare Lawyer to undertake direct line management of the Social Care & Safeguarding lawyers and support staff in accordance with City Council policies and procedures. The successful candidate will also be responsible for handling the most sensitive and complex matters for the Council, including negotiations, drafting, advice, litigation and advocacy as required.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with previous management or supervisory experience to join a dynamic and friendly team. The ideal Childcare Lawyer for this role will also have significant experience of advocacy, with the ability to support the team in developing skills and experience in this area.
This role is anticipated to be worked remotely until lockdown restrictions have eased, after which it is likely that the successful candidate will be required to attend meetings, court, etc. in person, as required.
