Grade G08 - SCP 36 to 39 Salary Range from £39,880 - £42,821 pro rata

Location: County Hall, Mold, Flintshire/Ty Dewi Sant, Ewloe

26 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified solicitor, barrister, or member of CILEx, to join our busy and friendly team of legal professionals within the Governance portfolio.

The role will primarily require the provision of planning advice to the local planning authority, including general advice, drafting section 106 obligations and advising in relation to breaches of planning control. In addition the role will require the provision of advice in respect of contracts, including drafting and negotiating contracts on behalf of the Council.

We are looking for a positive and highly motivated lawyer who is confident, versatile and innovative, and who will be part of a professional legal team delivering legal advice and support to all aspects of the Council’s services. You will be a team player, have a flexible approach to work and be able to provide a degree of mentoring and training to junior members of the team. You will be a strong communicator with excellent analytical and drafting skills and the ability to manage a full and varied caseload.

We would welcome applications from qualified solicitors or fellows of the institute of legal executives. Knowledge of local government law/legislative framework is desirable.
