Hugely ambitious plc in the construction sector who specialises in BTR and PBSA, requires an additional lawyer to work alongside the GC on an exciting, varied and highly commercial role.
You are likely to have a couple of years PQE in construction law (whilst candidates with any experience of or qualifications in the QS field would be extremely welcome) have a confident and assured disposition and a genuine enthusiasm for the sector. This is a crucial role and will be viewed as a senior position within the group, holding accountability for the preparation, negotiation, conclusion and distribution of the construction documentation for all the BTR and PBSA schemes.
Day to day you can expect exposure and interaction with key stakeholders and senior management and will be involved in; reviewing of draft development and funding agreements and advising on construction obligations, negotiation and agreement of contract conditions and amendments thereto with investors / purchasers / funders legal representatives as well as drafting building contracts in conjunction with the commercial and technical teams.
You'll be a key communicator, providing ongoing liaisons with all business functions such as Commercial, Procurement, Delivery, Sales and Marketing, Operational Teams, HR and Finance on legal issues arising from the Group's business and operations.
It's a fantastic role far beyond pure law suitable to a commercially minded and versatile lawyer who relishes this level of exposure.
