An agile opportunity, with a primary focus on Employment Law advocacy. Would like to hear from Barristers and Lawyers.

Due to expansion, a confident and articulate Employment Lawyer or Barrister is wanted for a highly autonomous opportunity with a leading Employment Law team. Applications are invited from qualified Employment Lawyers with upwards of 5 years' contentious respondent experience who are looking to progress their careers in a driven and supportive working environment with a strong emphasis on rewarding success. Salary is to £50,000 with car allowance, full training and development plus lots of opportunities to progress your career.

The successful Employment Lawyer will join a leading Employment Law team and manage a varied contentious caseload to conclusion. Acting for an SME and large business client base day to day duties will include, working with the support of your team reviewing claims, approving drafted pleadings and disclosure exercises, early and prompt contact with clients to advise and take instructions, advising clients on the merits of any claims and the prospects of a successful defence, briefing clients and witnesses Tribunal procedure, conducting any conciliation or settlement negotiations on behalf of the client, in accordance with instructions, preparation of trial bundles for final hearing and the attending and conducting of case managements discussions, preliminary hearings, full merits hearings and remedy hearings. Some travel across the north of England is anticipated.

The successful will have acquired upwards of 5 years contentious respondent experience, enjoy advocacy and the cut and thrust of managing a litigated caseload and be driven to deliver the highest levels of service at all times.

A fantastic home based opportunity that would suit Employment Lawyers based in North of England centres such as Carlisle, Newcastle, Durham, Teesside and York. Salary to £50,000 with car allowance and comprehensive benefits.
