Construction Lawyer

We are working with a top 50 UK firm who are keen to add a Construction lawyer to their existing team.

The role can be based in Liverpool, Manchester or Leeds working with a strong national team of lawyers who are covering a wide range of contentious and non-contentious construction work.

The construction team acts for developers, healthcare providers, main contractors, utilities, transport authorities, education institutions, consultants and sub-contractors providing a comprehensive service for both projects and dispute management.

This is a great role for an ambitious lawyer who is looking to gain experience of a wide range of construction in a large national team and would suit someone from 2 to 6 years PQE, although if you are a senior lawyer looking for more responsibility we would encourage you to apply.

Contentious work will include advising on:

• Claims for extensions of time, loss and expense
• Applications for payment
• Final account disputes
• Defective works/ allegations of negligence

You will also have experience of alternative dispute resolution as well as mediation.

On the non-contentious side you will have experience of advising on building contracts, professional appointments and connected construction documents, development finance and construction due diligence as well as advising clients on contract procurement.

This role will allow you to work with some of the leading lawyers within construction law as well as some of the most demanding cases to stretch and enhance your existing construction knowledge.
