Initially founded as a commercial law firm, they are seeing an increasing number of private matters being introduced to the firm. This has prompted them to establish a Private Client department, and they are also keen to bring in a Family Lawyer to grow this offering. They receive an abundance of referrals that they have to turn away, so there will be work to pick up from day one.
You will head up the Family department at this innovative, growing law firm, based in Liverpool City Centre.
There is already work to pick up from day one, but you will have the full support to build this up to its full potential, with significant investment in marketing your practice. You will also collaborate with the firm's well-established departments, such as Corporate and Private Client, to identify cross-referral opportunities.
The work that they are receiving is high-quality Private Family Law matters, including divorce, finance, and child law. However, they are keen to build on this and would welcome individuals who had a particular niche.
As you will be coming in at ground level, a significant part of your role in the early stages will be business development and marketing. Therefore, existing clients and contacts would be hugely beneficial but not essential, as there will be no pressure for you to bill whilst the department gets up and running. Once work is flowing consistently, you will have the opportunity to grow the team, and again significant investment will be made in recruiting the right people to assist you.
- You will be a Family Lawyer with a minimum of 7 years PQE (there is no upper limit in regard to experience)
- You will have a strong background in all aspects of Private Family Law
- Have a proven track record of business development and growing a client base
- A portable practice would be beneficial but not essential
- Ability to collaborate with other departments to exploit cross-referral opportunities.
