Job Details

Private Client Lawyer

Due to continued development and growth we have two fantastic opportunities for enthusiastic individuals to join our Private Client team in the firm’s brand-new South Devon Office based in the heart of Torquay. One role is to focus on general private client work, including the administration of estates, wills, trusts and taxation and the other to focus on Elderly Client/Court of Protection work.

Both of these roles allow for personal growth and development and the building of specialisations.  The Private Client team has a diverse range of expertise and covers all private client areas.

This is a chance to join a progressive, and professional team who work together in purpose built modern offices which are part of the At Harbourside development. Wollens’ investment in their new South Devon office brings staff and clients together in the very best environment with a fully functional client area, break-out rooms and excellent staff facilities along with everything you would expect from a newly constructed and purpose built office.

Wollens is a dynamic and successful Devon-based firm. It has shown exceptional growth over the past few years and is now one of the largest practices in the Devon and Somerset area. It has ambitious plans for the future, and these opportunities are perfect for a bright and committed lawyer to make a mark in a vibrant firm and department.

Wollens private client team have won both national and regional awards.

You will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (minimum 3 years PQE or equivalent level of experience).  You will need to demonstrate an enthusiasm for the work and an ability to manage our client’s expectations and to win their loyalty across the whole firm.  You will be self-motivated and should also have energy and ambition to progress within the private client department and within the firm.

To this end the successful candidate would also be expected to actively engage in the marketing and practice development work of the private client team.  STEP membership is desirable but not essential.  Membership of SfE in relation to the Elderly Client/Court of Protection lawyer role is also desirable, but not essential.

In return you will be joining a friendly, down to earth, professional and successful firm. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits and terms of employment.
