Our client is a leading Law Firm with various offices throughout Hampshire.

They are looking to recruit a Dispute Resolution Solicitor with up to 4 years PQE to join their busy team.

The role will involve advising clients on all aspects of civil litigation work with a particular emphasis on property litigation The work will involve areas such as boundary disputes, possession work in both the residential and commercial sectors, the recovery of rent arrears, co-ownership disputes and other associated areas. Good communication skills are essential, and candidates will be required to communicate regularly with clients for instructions and to give advice. Technical knowledge of land and property law is crucial. The ideal candidate will preferably have experience in advocacy and will be able to deal with their own case load. The candidate should have knowledge of case management systems and an ability to use online systems.

Responsibilities -

Client Service - To provide Clients with an efficient and professional service and to be courteous at all times. To ensure clients are regularly kept up to date.

File Management - To obtain accurate information and instructions from clients and maintain up-to-date records. To complete all aspects of file administration in a timely manner.

Financial Management - To be aware of time recording and costs targets and give accurate quotes to clients. To ensure prompt billing and maintain ongoing awareness of payments received.

Legal Knowledge - To keep up to date with changes in the law and to communicate these to clients clearly and concisely.

Marketing / Business Development - To be aware of the range of legal services provided by the Firm and use this knowledge to promote these services to clients.

Professional Standards - To ensure that only matters appropriate to your role and within your ability are handled ensuring that matters are referred to another Fee Earner or the Department Head as and when appropriate.

Systems & Procedures - To comply with all specified systems and procedures of the Firm but always be alert to seeking ways of improving the same.

You will be -

Newly qualified or experienced. Strong communication skills are essential. Ability to communicate legal advice clearly and concisely. Excellent organisation and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail to be able to carefully analyse files and data. Business acumen and a good understanding of client's needs. Ability to promote other legal services to clients. Flexibility and adaptability in your attitude and approach to work. Experience of case management system (preferred) To maintain personal development and understanding of changes in the law
