A Specialist Education and Public Law Solicitor is required by a Chambers and Partners & Legal 500 ranked firm practising in E1, London.

The firm is looking for a committed Education and Public Law solicitor with litigation experience in these areas, who has at least 2 years’ PQE of managing your own caseload. This is an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor / Legal Executive looking for personal and career development opportunities in a modern & dynamic Firm.

The Role:
The firm is seeking a full-time litigation solicitor (preferably with 2-5 years PQE) to handle a diverse and interesting caseload which is part of their education, community care and public law practices.

The role will involve advising clients on a variety of litigation matters in relation to schools, universities, and other education providers as well as local authorities and central government bodies.

The work will include breach of contract, negligence, discrimination, tribunal appeals, human rights cases and judicial review.

The successful candidate will join a successful and growing team which is based in London but can operate remotely.

The appointee will need to demonstrate the ability to handle their own cases and commercial awareness, including a proven record of developing a privately funded caseload together with experience of legal aid.


  • At least 2 years PQE in Civil Litigation.
  • Proven ability to manage a profitable caseload of mixed private and legal aid work.
  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in bringing/defending civil claims against/on behalf of schools, universities, or public bodies.
  • Experience in bringing/defending claims based on the Equality Act 2010.
  • Knowledge of the education sector.
