Construction Solicitor

This well-established firm with a national presence is looking for a Construction Lawyer to join their outstanding national team in Leeds. They have built a practice based on offering the best advice which has resulted in repeat business from clients in the private and public sector. Their portfolio of clients now includes many private sector property clients as well as NHS organisations and numerous housing associations.

Our client has a strong reputation which has been established from their work in construction nationally over the years and are recognised in both Chambers and Legal 500.

The team in Leeds are looking for a Solicitor with 2-6 years PQE to join working on mainly non-contentious construction work, however, would consider those who also wish to undertake contentious work alongside the non-contentious caseload. They work for some of the best names within the sector, both private and public, on complex matters and you would often find yourself working as part of a team on very substantial projects. Where they can they will also encourage you to take responsibility for some of your own matters, this would depend on your level of experience as well as the work itself but rest assured, there would always be support available. They are really interested in developing you as a lawyer with fully rounded skills, and alongside fee earning you will be assisting in supporting and developing more junior lawyers, giving you a great opportunity to develop these important skills from a relatively early stage in your career. Furthermore, unlike some teams there will be plenty of scope for you to step up too, with plenty of scope for progression within a team that have a really collaborative and genuinely friendly and supportive approach.

Operating at the highest level, and on a national basis, this team is not within one of your typical national / international firms. They deliver at a high level to their clients but don't see this as being incompatible to delivering a great working environment for their lawyers. This role would suit an ambitious individual who is looking to take on challenging work in the development of their career. Having worked really successfully remotely throughout the pandemic this firm have a fantastic attitude to remote working going forward, whilst there will be office work it certainly wont be 5 days a week, unless that is what you want! As a consequence this opportunity may well interest people who live a little further away given that the commuting days would be reduced.
