This firm is a highly successful practice and is a key player in the Yorkshire market, with a national and international reputation. The firm places real importance on providing a partner-led service with a hands-on approach and is renowned for being forward-thinking and commercially savvy. They pride themselves on having an innovative approach and commit to investing time and resources into building relationships with clients to understand their goals and achieve them. They also place great store in management and as well as fee earning that will form an important part of this role.

What differentiates this role from many others is that whilst relatively senior, at least 7 years PQE, they are not expecting this person for focus on business development, the key to this role is picking up really high quality matters, taking control of them with limited senior input and also supporting, supervising and developing more junior lawyers. If you enjoy the work itself, and helping other this role would be ideal. Unusually this firm actually value such activities and make allowance for non-chargeable work and responsibilities within individual targets.

The work itself is high quality varied and includes a caseload of private client matters including wills, trusts, succession planning and the administration of estates for an extensive client base from business owners and high net worth individuals to clients with cross border issues and high value estates.

Our client is ideally looking for someone who has a minimum of 7 years' PQE and STEP qualification would also be an advantage. You should have strong technical skills and it is essential that you have experience dealing with high-net-worth clients.

This role would suit someone who is commercially minded with the ability to maintain excellent relationships with clients and internal colleagues. If you are at Partner level don't let this put you off applying, however at this level you would need to bring something a little extra, this could be a contact base that differs from those of the firm already or a niche area of expertise that can be added to their department.
