Our client are looking for a Company Secretary to join them - this role is available part-time, job-share or full time - our client want the best people for their roles and will consider flexible working patterns. This is an important role for them and they are committed to completing a remote recruitment process and onboarding during COVID-19. Our client are open to someone who would want to work primarily from home, but be present in Swindon / London at least once per week or when required - so someone who is located in the Swindon / London area, or commutable to would be ideal.

Your new role
As Company Secretary you will be providing a full company secretarial service to a portfolio of companies, boards, board committees and management committees, working closely with the Head of Co Sec. The role is wide ranging, delivering high profile governance and regulatory projects and working to develop relationships across the wider business on a cross functional basis. In addition to being highly organised and quality orientated, you will have the skills and experience to provide senior executives and non-executives with sound governance advice and horizon scanning in a commercial context. You will provide support, advice and training internally and externally in relation to corporate governance and company law and provide end to end support for an allocated portfolio of companies including ownership of constitutional documentation, preparing annual agendas, ensuring papers are of a high quality and observing in house principles and Board Intelligence

What you'll need to succeed
You might be a part-qualified or fully qualified Chartered Secretary (ACIS or FCIS), or possess an equivalent level of professional qualification and experience; you should be educated to degree level. You will be experienced in all aspects of company secretarial work and have a good knowledge of underlying legislation and its application to practical situations, plus practical experience of managing projects and delivering change to the business. You will be a real team player and will be able to manage relationships at all levels of the business to influence the achievement of good governance outcomes. You should be proactive and passionate about your work and not be afraid to voice your opinions and help bring about change.
