Exciting opportunity for a Contracts Lawyer to join the Commercial team within a successful Local Authority organisation, over a good length of contract.
This role would be well suited to an ambitious and committed individual, who has the ability to learn and eager to develop their Contracts experience. The successful Contracts Lawyer will be handling a variety of matters, including but not limited to:
- Drafting a variety of specialist Contracts (such as letting, IT, service, framework, waste disposal)
- Dealing with NEC/JCT Contracts
- Advising on GDPR and FOI matters
- Negotiating with third parties
- Advising and drafting procurement documents
- Providing legal advice to Local Authority Clients
The successful Contracts and Procurement Lawyer will have sound knowledge and experience of:
- Public procurement
- Commercial Contracts
- Construction Contracts
- Local Government policies and procedures
The successful candidate will have experience working within a Local Authority, and able to work remotely with minimal supervision.
