Top 100 firm
Commercial Disputes Lawyer
Senior Associate 5+ Pqe
City - London
Our client, a leading TOP 100 firm are already successful, but ambitious to grow and become even more successful.
The culture in this firm can be summed up as collegiate, friendly, supportive, inclusive, approachable, and ambitious. It is this unique culture that attracts many Partners from major City law firms, and sets them apart from their competitors.
This client has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Senior Associate (5-6+ PQE) to join their nationally recognised Commercial Disputes Team. The team is recruiting into their London offices to work with Partners to help manage the projects related caseload, play a leadership role in marketing their offering and to develop/mentor junior lawyers. We would like to hear from ambitious commercial dispute resolution lawyers who are experienced in this sector, and may currently be working in their firm's Commercial Litigation or Projects teams.
The Commercial & Regulatory Disputes (CRD) team works alongside and against the most renowned litigation firms. Matters often have an international, regulatory or reputational dimension.
A growing part of the practice is the support provided to the highly ranked Projects Team in relation to infrastructure and PFI / PPP projects. You will work very closely with our Projects team, as well as construction and insolvency lawyers, to intervene in distressed situations and resolve commercial disputes relating to, for example, the procurement and performance of services, payment mechanisms, finance and contract termination. It is a highly collaborative working environment across different teams within the firm and also in getting to know clients - helping them to perform key roles in the proper delivery and functioning of essential public services. The CRD team also undertakes a variety of other work, with the opportunity to build upon your dispute resolution skill set, if desired, and is part of a substantial litigation practice which expands into insolvency, property, construction, agriculture, trusts and probate disputes via separate specialist teams.
This is a great opportunity to join a progressive and forward thinking Firm. This position offers the opportunity for agile working.
