Legal Manager and Company Secretary

Job Title: Legal Counsel & Company Secretary
Location: Leeds
Salary: Up to £70k + car and excellent benefits (pension, shares etc)

We're currently working with a Global Energy business in their search for a new Legal Counsel to join the Group. The business is at the forefront of advancements in the energy sector, and has been on an upward trajectory for the past few years. Reporting to the MD, you will lead on all legal matters relating to the activities of the UK business. This includes contracts, JV's, acquisitions/disposals, compliance and competition law. Exciting business wide projects also add to the interesting legal work which runs through the in-house legal team.

If successful, you'll be responsible for a mixed workload including:

Advising on, drafting, reviewing and negotiating a diverse range of commercial agreements (including distribution agreements, supplier agreements, Joint ventures, some construction contracts)
Assisting Group M&A team on a diverse range of corporate transactional work, including acquisitions and joint ventures, in the UK and internationally.
Advising the wider Group on various regulatory areas including data protection, consumer regulations and Health & Safety
Maintaining and actively managing anti bribery and Competition elements of day to day business
The management of relationships and interaction with external counsel and advisors.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Yorkshire based in-house Solicitors to gain excellent exposure as the Legal lead for the UK arm of a Global business
