Children Panel Solicitor

An exciting opportunity with a forward thinking mid-sized law firm providing a highly valued legal service across North Yorkshire and the North East of England.

Due to growth a Children Panel Solicitor is wanted to help build out the Public Law Children and Children Law service in a busy, multi branch, modern law firm. Applications are invited from accredited Childcare Solicitors who are motivated to progress their careers in a friendly and supportive working environment and develop their skill set alongside experienced and approachable leads.

The successful Children Panel Solicitor will join a small, dedicated team working hard to find the best possible solution for children and parents in Public Law Children matters. The day to day will vary in challenge and include

• Acting for a client base of Guardians, Foster Carers, Parents and Grandparents in Care Proceedings
• Advising on Care Orders, Supervision Orders, Emergency Protection Orders and Special Guardianship Orders
• Representation and advocacy in Childcare proceedings and conferences

The successful candidate will be driven to make a positive difference to lives of all those affected by care proceedings, be confident advocates and be fully aware of the ethical issues that can arise in children cases.

A fantastic Childcare role for an experienced Children Panel Solicitor. Salary is negotiable and care Law and are now fully committed to building out a career in this challenging but rewarding area of law. Salary is dependent on experience and upwards of £35,000 with comprehensive benefits.
