National Lawyer SCP – South East

Can you deliver justice? The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) are looking for Senior Crown Prosecutors to join our dynamic workforce in South East.

At the Crown Prosecution Service, we are responsible for delivering justice through the independent and effective prosecution of crime. As the principal prosecuting authority across England and Wales, the nature and diversity of cases we prosecute means our work is often emotionally challenging and complex. As such, we employ almost 6,000 individuals who think objectively, act professionally, show the upmost respect for others and continually strive for excellence.

If you have a law background and you’re motivated by changing lives, this is for you. Our Senior Crown Prosecutors enjoy challenging cases, greater advocacy work and opportunities to grow in a modern, dynamic organisation. Don’t worry, if you’ve never trained in Criminal Law, you won’t be alone. When we meet people whose sense of public duty and societal fairness matches our own, we give them the training necessary to fulfil their ambitions.

We are looking for individuals who are committed to delivering the highest standards in this complex and challenging field. Being a Senior Crown Prosecutor isn’t an easy option. We’re talking high caseloads, fast-paced days and not a lot of prep time. However, it’s a highly exhilarating role in a supportive environment.

Delivering justice is a complex pursuit with work that is sometimes emotionally challenging. We therefore offer a range of benefits including flexible working, civil service pension scheme, access to employee savings, including high street retailer discounts, as well as 25 days leave, rising to 30 days after 5 years’ service.

If you are committed to public service and are looking for a role at the very forefront of delivering justice, apply now.
