Your new company
An international law firm are seeking a number of Lawyers to join a financial regulatory project to assist with a Benchmark Transition Project, with a particular focus on the transitioning of transactions referencing LIBOR that were originated in the UK, Europe and US. These roles will be for a minimum of 6 months.

Your new role
You will be expected to advise internal stakeholders on documentation related to risk-free rates (or rate switch arrangements), assist with the completion of relevant legal checklists, and provide general guidance on legal and documentation issues arising during the course of the clients transition of its customer population from LIBOR to alternative rates. You would also be expected to assist the client lead in managing the Project with communicating the requirements relating to transitioning deals to bankers, helping to track deal flow and transitioning transactions, and other similar tasks that are a key component of facilitating an orderly transition, including supervising a paralegal team and coordinating with other lawyers (overseas counsel and sector specialists).

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for the role, you should have a minimum of 2 years PQE, ideally gained within a reputable banking and finance practice. You will ideally have experience of working on LMA-based investment grade documentation, and experience of advising on banking and finance transactions generally. Knowledge of the LMA's recommended forms of 'rate switch' and RFR documents is a bonus. Finally you will have excellent communications skills and time management skills.
