Head of Family

An award-winning multi-service law firm in South Manchester are looking for a gregarious Family Solicitor to join them as Head of Department. 

While you won’t have to build up the department from scratch, you’ll be the driving force behind the team and will be responsible for growing the firm’s family offering through networking and business development.

 Head of Family – South Manchester

The company & role 

• A forward-thinking law firm with offices in Cheshire and Manchester 
• In this role, you’ll handle your own varied caseload of family matters some of which will be self-generated and some of which will come from recommendations and word-of-mouth referrals 
• You’ll also oversee the team, which will involve mentoring and supervising junior lawyers 
• You’ll be expected to network within the local business community and with key referral sources in order to develop the profile of the family team 
• Commutable from Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Stockport, Macclesfield and South Manchester

The ideal candidate 

• A Family Solicitor with 8+ years' PQE  
• Will have experience of handling a wide range of private family law matters 
• Will have experience of mentoring and supervising junior colleagues 
• A confident communicator who delivers an excellent standard of client care 
• Will enjoy networking and business development and have experience of building up a department
