Your new firm
This industry leading and national law firm are looking to hire an NQ-5 PQE Solicitor/experienced Chartered Legal Executive to join their Dispute Resolution Department in Cardiff. Ranked by both Chambers and Legal 500 directories as one of the premier litigation departments in Wales and beyond, this firm provides the opportunity for you to not only develop your legal career, but also expand your network. The department provides legal advice to clients across a wide spectrum of commercial, property and housing disputes.

Your role
You will be working within the commercial litigation team, who are internationally renowned for their reputation and proven track record. The team provides expert legal advice to a broad range of sectors including utilities companies, local and national government, education and private companies both large and small.

This role will involve working across several areas of expertise within the department, supporting partners with high value cases across multiple disciplines. You can expect to work as part of a team in complex cases, and with autonomy and responsibility both as part of that team and with their own workload of multi-track cases. The role will encompass a varied case load of general commercial litigation files to include contract and tortious disputes, intellectual property and information technology disputes, insolvency, professional negligence as well as defamation claims.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive, with up to five years PQE, have excellent organisation and time management skills to meet demanding deadlines. If joining at the NQ level you will have completed a seat in commercial litigation during your training contract. Being highly motivated and ambitious, along with the ability to build strong relationships with clients,is vital to maintaining the team's reputation and proven track record.
