Commercial Litigation Lawyer, 12 month FTC, 2-4 PQE

A highly successful London Firm are looking for a Commercial Litigation Lawyer with between 2-4 years' PQE to join their ranked team for a contract of 12 months. The role also has the potential to become a permanent position.

The firm has a strong reputation in the market for advising a diverse range of clients spanning high net worth families and individuals, property investors, entrepreneurs, landed estates and family businesses. A significant proportion of their work has an international element.

The Litigation team are well positioned to resolve international and domestic disputes involving contract disputes, partnership disputes, professional negligence, civil fraud, and art disputes. Clients sit across a full range of sectors to include hotels and leisure, technology, arts and luxury assets, agrochemicals and family business.

The successful individual will join the litigation team and work on a caseload of contractual disputes (i.e. advising on breaches of warranty and/or contract); corporate disputes (to include shareholder disputes, partnership disputes, unfair prejudice and breaches of fiduciary duty); misrepresentation claims; professional negligence (protecting clients' interests against financial advisors, auction houses and other professionals); cross border disputes; fraud and asset tracing (to include advising on undue influence and forgery, freezing misappropriated assets that have been laundered, moved abroad or to a third party) and art disputes (involving disputes over ownership, authenticity, damaged artwork and restitution claims).

A strong commercial litigation background is imperative, although prior experience in handling art disputes is not required - this is an area the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience in whilst working alongside a ranked partner within the market.

Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate:

• Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales (or another commonwealth jurisdiction, such as Australia or New Zealand).
• Between 2-4 years' PQE in handling commercial disputes within a reputable London or top tier regional firm.
• Ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to handle a high level of client exposure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to build strong relationships with clients.
• The ability to start a 12 month contract.
