Child Care Solicitor/Legal Executive (advocacy)

Salary: PO1 - 10, £31,346 to £39,880 per annum (dependent on experience)

Permanent contract, 37 hours per week or part time hours considered (no less than 25.9 hours)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive to join our busy but supportive Child Care Legal Team. We are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable, and self-motivated individual to provide solution focused and practical legal advice on childcare matters.

What are we looking for?

  • You will be an admitted Solicitor entitled to a current practicing certificate or have an alternative Barrister or Legal Executive qualification.
  • You have extensive knowledge and experience of the law and practice relating to safeguarding children litigation with proven advocacy skills to represent the Council in contested proceedings.
  • You are highly motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
