Family Solicitor (Private)


Salary DOE + Benefits

Our client is a specialist Divorce and Family Law firm with multiple offices located across the UK.

They sit among some of the UK's best divorce and family solicitors and pride themselves on delivering an elite quality of legal advice to their clients.

Due to continued expansion and an influx of Private Family instructions, they are now in a position to add to their existing team. As the newly appointed Family Solicitor you will be presented with the opportunity to join a successful and thriving department on a permanent basis.

You will have strong knowledge of Private Family matters, including divorce, separation, finances, and children matters as well as knowing the full family process from cradle to grave with experience of managing a busy and varied caseload. You will be taking over an existing caseload which will be exclusive to Private/High Net worth cases.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:

*Minimum of 3 years' experience within Private Family Work

* Commercial awareness

*Excellent advocacy, verbal, and written communication skills

*Great organisational and time management skills

*Ability to work towards targets and tight deadlines

*The ability to work autonomously and remotely if required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

*Managing case files in accordance with Quality Assurance Standards

*Ensuring all financial transactions are in line with the Solicitors Accounts Rules

*Supporting and advising clients of the firm either in Court, or the office

*Consulting with clients over the telephone in relation to new enquiries

*Having the proven ability to convert client enquires into new cases.

*Undertaking financial management of files ensuring that all charge rates are paid in a timely manner.

*Adhering to a target of 4/5 chargeable hours per day

*Upholding the company values and positively representing the firm's brand

*Managing and running a busy and varied caseload

*Carry out advocacy in relevant Courts


*Agile/remote working

*23-25 Days holiday (plus bank)

*Private Health Care


*Achievable bonus structure

*Death in service
