Job description: We are looking for a newly qualified Solicitor to join our private practice in Merseyside. This role is suited to a proactive individual looking to assist and undertake fee-earning work and provide a profitable contribution to the work of the department.

In your work, you will be expected to undertake commercial and residential property fee-earning work under supervision, to a high standard.

Day to day duties include (but are not limited to):

• Generation of suitable client care correspondence
• Taking instructions from clients and investigating to advise on title matters and pre-contract enquiries
• Advising clients of any incurred cost, such as stamp duty and legal fees
• Negotiating and advising on heads of terms
• Liaising with mortgage lenders to agree drafts and advising on documents associated with commercial and residential property work
• Running own case load under supervision of the Supervising Partner;
• Assisting with sales and marketing of Bartlett’s’ services
• Assisting in the absence of other fee earners in respect of sickness and holidays

The Candidate must have evidence of experience in commercial property work. The candidate must have a pleasant, but assertive manner in dealing with colleagues and clients. A demonstrated sense of tact and resilience are essential qualities.
