Interim Senior Commercial Lawyer

Your new role
The legal team are looking for an interim Lawyer specialising in commercial and technology contracts. As a legal counsel, you will also deliver more broad legal support and advice to the organisation, particularly in the areas of fundraising, charity and general commercial law as well as corporate and civil litigation. You will identify and mitigate legal risk, draft, and negotiate legal documents and work on high-risk matters. You will collaborate with other teams to understand their legal need and support them to understand legal risk and compliance, ultimately raising the profile of the Legal team and ensuring that the service is accessible and approachable.

This role can be based remotely. It can also be part-time.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified solicitor or barrister with several years private practice and in-house charity experience, particularly work related to commercial and technology agreements. You will be able to demonstrate contract drafting skills and will have previous experience of providing advice direct to clients or non-legal colleagues. You will have good commercial judgement, be organised and able to supervise others. Most importantly you will share the same values/visions as the charity. This role will suit a keen legal professional looking for an opportunity to grow and develop their career.
