Senior Contentious Inheritance and Trusts Solicitor to head L500 & Chambers-ranked Exeter team.

A specialist team, ranked highly by Chambers and the Legal 500, they remain a dominant force in the contentious private client market in the region, receiving particular attention in the Legal 500 HNW guide.

Whilst the work is contentious, the tone of the team is friendly, relaxed and award-winning.

You will advise and deal with complex matters relating to claims against estates, division of assets and other contentious probate matters such as inheritance and trusts disputes that consider will validity claims, including co-ownership, contentious Court of Protection work and proprietary estoppel.

As a leader, you'll work alongside Partners across the business, be responsible for leading a small team of mid-level solicitors, and take the reins on business development and the department's overall health.

The Requirements

  • 5+ PQE within contentious private client law, gained within a reputable practice
  • Documented previous BD success
  • Experience in mentoring others and leading a team being desired
