Corporate Solicitor – Senior Associate/Partner

We are an eleven-Partner boutique law firm located in the picturesque region of South Devon. We offer bespoke legal services to corporate and private clients drawn from both across the region and nationally.

We have a clear vision and plan for growth which is underpinned through our investment in our people, operational management, processes and systems.

Our highly respected Corporate Team is active across the South West and is currently ranked third for volume of corporate deals completed in the South West by Experian Market IQ. Forming an integral element of our plans for growth, we are now seeking to recruit a Corporate Solicitor at Partner level.

OUR COMMERCIAL PRACTICE

Within our commercial practice is our corporate team led by Cris Boyce. This is a commercially focused corporate team with a collaborative approach to the way they work and a ‘can do’ culture. The team have built up an enviable reputation in the market both regionally and nationally which has resulted in them consistently securing high-quality work. The team focus on providing the best legal advice to their commercial clients and upon achieving their clients aims and objectives. The volume of work regularly referred to the team is a testament to their expertise.

Our commercial practice offers a comprehensive service with specialists in Corporate & Commercial, Commercial Property & Dispute Resolution.

Our clients come from all sectors and we have close working relationships with accountants, business advisors, commercial agents and financial institutions who provide a steady flow of work into our commercial practice.

Recent transactions include;

• Acquisition of a controlling interest in a league one football club
• Management buyout of a traffic management specialist company
• Sale of a unique and extensive costume and memorabilia hire collection business
• Acquisition of a wholesale food supplier
• Sale of a UK wine and cider producer

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role presents the successful candidate with an unrivalled platform for personal and professional growth. You will have the opportunity to work in an experienced team on a range of corporate transactions.

You can expect to handle a mixed case load of;

• M&A
• MBO’s
• Disposals
• Joint ventures
• Partnership and LLP related matters

The quality of the caseload is high and the clientele and professional advisors you will be in contact with will give you an opportunity to build a network of high value contacts.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a mid-senior level corporate solicitor with wide ranging corporate experience. With good VC and M&A experience, you will have an eye for detail and be meticulous in your work.

You will be an excellent communicator with proven technical and organisational skills, you’ll be accustomed to working under pressure to meet challenging deadlines.

As an individual you will demonstrate ambition and determination to achieve and get satisfaction from building and developing relationships with clients and referrers.
