This is an unusual opportunity for a regulatory lawyer with experience from any sector to leverage the regulatory tools they have gained into a market leader in advising the exciting Travel industry.

Our client is a well-established and innovative City firm with a very strong Travel industry practice which advises clients on the laws and regulations which apply to the sale of travel services in Europe.

The team prides themselves on their deep industry knowledge and understanding, which enables them to provide clients with advice which is always commercial, up-to-date, and pragmatic. They have significant experience in assisting clients enter new markets, or introduce new products to old markets, and enabling clients from varying different sectors to launch or expand their travel businesses domestically and internationally. They enable their clients to structure their businesses efficiently and negotiate the many different sorts of commercial and consumer contracts affecting the industry. The team also represents their clients in travel-related disputes, including in response to investigations and proceedings by regulators and industry trade associations.

Due to a strong and growing pipeline of new instructions, an opportunity has arisen for a mid-level Associate to join this specialist team.

In order to be considered for this position you do not need to have any travel-industry specific experience; rather you will be a regulatory lawyer with expertise drawn from any sector with the desire to specialise in the travel industry, and:

  • A strong academic background
  • Training and most likely 2-5 years' PQE gained from a City, International, or high quality regional firm.
  • Excellent drafting skills
  • The ability to support the Travel industry practice in pitching, marketing and thought leadership activities.
  • A common sense, down-to-earth approach.
  • Commerciality and the ability to work in a sometimes fast-paced, intellectually challenging environment.
  • The ability to deal with clients and colleagues in a relaxed and confident manner.
