Claims Handler/Insurance Paralegal Job - Bristol - International Firm


Your new company
Our client is a leading international law firm who provide a range of professional legal services to leading clients predominantly in the insurance sector. Whilst this is an international law firm, they are friendly and approachable and are known for their modern approach and outlook to legal services. They are currently undergoing an expansion in the Bristol office due to work levels and are seeking an experienced Claims Handler/Paralegal to join their well-established team in Bristol.

Your new role
Working with the Head of Claims and other team members, you will be responsible for a caseload of varied professional indemnity claims, ensuring the delivery of a first class claims experience to policyholders and accurate reporting to Insurers. The claims are varied, arising out of every aspect of a professional's practice, and you will be delivering a service that ensures that the Insured and broker are advised and guided towards the appropriate outcome. You will be able to identify gaps in information and investigate notifications effectively protecting the insurer and the insured's position.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have experience in a legal or insurance claims handling environment. The work is focused on Professional Indemnity and therefore an interest in a career within this insurance area will need to be demonstrated. You will have comprehensive technical claims knowledge and experience and will have first rate communication skills, commercial awareness and the initiative to work alone as well as be a team player. You will have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to deal with difficult or demanding situations and clients and customer focused and target driven.
