Compensation: up to £50K + bonus + package

This Role In Summary:

Direct line management of 4 direct reports, including senior claims handlers and a legal executive, the role will manage volume claims, volume litigation.

Experience Required:

• Be an expert in the field of litigation and contract law
• Qualified solicitor or junior solicitor with good knowledge and relevant experience in a legal or commercial environment and volume litigation
• Have experience supporting major commercial and/or contentious matters
• Experience in handling property damage disputes
• Understand the commercial legal aspects of a wide range of matters, with an ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects working to tight deadlines
• Clearly understand the DCR framework
• Experience in supporting major commercial and/or contentious matters
• Knowledge and experience of the CPR

Responsibilities:

• Handle a mixed caseload of third party damage construction disputes or contract related disputes where required 
• Support key stakeholders in the provision of general legal and litigation advice 
• Where on commercial legal matters and disputes; having an active role in the strategy and knowledge sharing / best practice development
• Manage, coach, and support trainees and more junior members of the team

The Role:

Providing expert commercial and litigation legal advice and acting as an effective team member in specific disputes/potential disputes

Attending interim and final hearings as appropriate, and holding regular calls with key stakeholders regarding potential disputes

Providing expert litigation and legal advice to negotiate and win construction and Code related disputes to maximise cost savings and optimise income to support the commercial strategy and policy and drive revenue growth
