Job Details

We are currently looking to attract an experienced Solicitor to join our expanding property damage practice in our Manchester office.

Our property damage practice is the largest and most successful team in the sector. We have an established and well-respected group that advises some of the UK’s largest insurers and underwriters on various types of property damage claims. This includes multi-million pound fire spread claims, infrastructure damage, flood damage, building defect claims, Party Wall Act disputes and subsidence.

The role can involve handling a full remit of property damage work for our insurance clients. This will include policy coverage, liability and subrogated recoveries and handling a wide variety of work including fire, flood, escape of water, defective workmanship and geo-technical claims. Part of handling a caseload involves being comfortable negotiating settlements on behalf of our client, providing advice and assessing/reviewing damages.

For this role the ability to analyse and evaluate information logically, good communicate skills and the ability to relate well to clients and staff is important. We are looking for a candidate that is an excellent team player who is self-motivated, resilient and able to use their own initiative.

We are keen to speak to qualified solicitors with solid experience in property damage claims, from either a defendant or claimant background.

We offer a nurturing and collaborative environment alongside a competitive salary. Our company benefits include 25 days holiday allowance plus the option to purchase an extra 5 days and free day off for your birthday, pension scheme, health cash plan, life assurance and income protection insurance. We also offer a number of discounts to use for gym membership, car leasing, mobile phones and insurance products.
