This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor with experience to join a Professional Discipline/ Regulatory department to oversee a team of paralegals whilst managing a case load of prosecuting Fitness to Practise cases on behalf of Regulators. The role will be based in the firm's London office, at least 2 days per week, with flexible working available to enable approximately 3 days per week working at home.
This law firm has an impressive track record and has many long standing clients in both the public and private sector. They are approved panel members with many Regulators and NHS organisations
The Fitness to Practise role will enable the successful Solicitor to oversee a number of paralegals undertaken investigatory work on behalf of Regulators such as the NMC whilst managing an investigatory case load where it is alleged that the registrant's fitness to practise is impaired through misconduct, competence or health issues and preparing those cases for hearings before panels and committees of the relevant regulators.
Working under a Partner the work involves prepare cases for prosecution, interviewing key witnesses, attending conferences with counsel, liaising with defence and presenting cases.
Previous experience in the field of Fitness to Practise, Regulation and Professional Discipline is strongly preferred, it is not essential as a qualified. Candidates will however be expected to be able to demonstrate at interview that they are self-motivated and commercially minded, as well as having good interpersonal skills and being able to work effectively in teams.
Salary dependent upon specific experience.
