Locum Information Governance Manager – East of England – Part Time – 3 months initially– Fully Remote Working – £40-45 per hour (Umbrella)
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a reputable Public Sector Organisation in the East of England, who are recruiting for a Locum Information Governance Manager to join their department.
Ideally, the client would prefer this assignment to be worked on a part time basis on 2-3 days, however these can be spread across the week.
This role is offered for an initial period of 3 Months with the possibility of extension and will be worked on a fully remote basis for the foreseeable future.
This opportunity is suitable for an Information Governance Manager with professional experience gained within Local Government.
This position will require you to oversee the Freedom of Information team, so previous team management experience would be advantageous.
Duties may include:
Lead the Freedom of Information team
Manage and advise the business on general day-to-day data protection compliance, legal requirements and best practice
Process Data Subject Rights requests under GDPR such as right to erasure, rectification in liaison with the relevant business area and within the legal compliance timeframes.
Be the primary day-to-day contact with the business to advise on potential complaints and breaches, ensuring that all breaches are notified and investigated in accordance with the legal framework
Respond directly and deal with any ICO complaints made against the business
Development and maintenance of central logs relating to requests for personal data, data breaches, Data Protection Act 2018, Data Protection Impact Assessments and ICO complaints
Responsible for the management and maintenance of records required to demonstrate data protection compliance.
Process Data Subject Rights requests under GDPR such as right to erasure, rectification in liaison with the relevant business area and within the legal compliance timeframes.
An hourly rate of between £40 to £45 per hour Umbrella is offered for this position.
