Job Details
International plc and energy giant with large In-house legal team, integral to the group, requires an additional solicitor following a strategic reorg and the promotion of one its existing lawyers.

Many remain and play a significant role in the new world. This is NOT a reactive commercial-contracts factory but a strategic and highly commercial function within an international energy pioneer.
The role is likely to suit someone who has a couple of years PQE in non-contentious commercial law from one of the larger firms or reputable in-house teams, although your commercial mindset and approach is much, much more important.
Broadly, this is a client facing role and requires someone with a confidence and desire to be visible, pragmatic and interested in business. An interest in or experience of energy would be an advantage but is not essential. The group has some truly world leading projects in relation to EV's, decarbonisation, renewable certification, energy trading and the legal department are at the forefront of these negotiations, working within a team of high calibre lawyers. It's an opportunity for you to make a difference!
It's a great first step into Industry or equally suits someone who feels they are currently In-house but within a team where interaction with the business is slightly limited.
The role is based in north Yorkshire but agile working is very much in play and we'd expect the split with home working to be even. Salary is likely to be in the region of £55-£65ks and the benefits package is comprehensive.
