Your new company
Our client is a global law firm with particular expertise within the insurance sector and they are regarded as one of the international leaders in insurance. They currently have an excellent opportunity for a Claims Handler to join their Insurance division to work on a diverse range of commercial claims and they are happy for the successful candidate to work fully remotely. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team with excellent long-term progression opportunities: this role will be based in either Bristol or Taunton with a mixture of hybrid working.

Your new role
Joining the team as a Claims Handler, you will be acting on behalf of the insurer, defending claims. The role will involve managing a varied caseload, including defending professional indemnity claims, defending over-valuation claims, advising on coverage and policy issues, (BTE and ATE) liability claims, as well as defending catastrophic losses on behalf of international businesses and defending D&O and employment claims against charities, schools and trusts. The firm offer a flexible and agile (home) working environment, so the successful candidate will be able to work from home 5 days a week.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have previous Claims handling experience or alternatively paralegal experience (preferably gained at a defendant insurance law firm or with the insurance market). Experience of BTE (Before the Event) or ATE (After the Event) claims is ideal but not essential. You will be confident and articulate and have excellent client skills.
