Tax & Trust Manager - Tunbridge Wells, Kent

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Tax & Trust Manager to join a market leading, Legal 500 firm in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Joining this highly regarded Trust Management team you will be responsible for providing accounting services to clients dealing with a wide range of both Tax and Trust related matters including:

• Preparing trust accounts and returns
• Managing the completion of personal Tax Returns for beneficiaries, Court of Protection clients and retained people, including high net worth individuals
• Assist the Probate division in dealing with tax affairs to date of death, Estate Returns and preparation of complex estate accounts
• Provide specialist personal tax, accounting and advisory support
• Preparing capital gains tax returns
• Preparing inheritance tax returns for Trust anniversaries and exits
• Calculating liabilities to inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax
• Supervise and assist, as required, in the training, development and supervision of members of the Department
• Oversee the use of HMRC online services on a timely and regular basis
• Liaise with IS with regard to CCH software updates and utilisation

You must have at least 5 years trust and tax experience gained in a similar role as a Tax & Trust Manager with specialist accounting expertise in trust management work. Its likely that you'll be accountancy qualified to either ACCA, ACA, ATT, CTA, AAT level. In addition STEP qualification would be advantageous. You'll have specialist expertise in personal Income Tax compliance and planning; Capital Gains Tax compliance and planning; and, Trust and Estates accounting and taxation.
