Permanent Research Contract Manager – South East England – £40,000 per annum – Flexible Working

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for a Permanent Research Contract Manager to join a respected Public Sector Research Organisation in the South East of England.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Research Contracts Manager with expertise in interpreting complex contractual terms including collaboration agreements, MTA’s and CDA’s to become a part of a successful research establishment.

This organisation particularly values the concept of a balanced work/life ratio and is happy to accommodate remote working arrangements, should this be desired.

Previous experience performing a similar role within higher education institutions is essential for this positions and unfortunately, applicants without such experience will not be considered on this occasion.

Duties may include:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating research related contracts and collaboration agreements

  • Preparing contract novations, amendments, extensions and variations

  • Protecting the organisation’s access to the results of research for further use or commercialisation

  • Identifying, communicating and mitigating contractual risks

  • Providing specialist support for staff on all aspects of contracts and contracts management

  • Ensuring that project contracts enable future use of project results both for future scientific research and where appropriate for commercial exploitation

  • Contributing to in-house training and preparation of training materials

  • Managing the contracts process for and behalf of the organisation

  •  A salary of £39,000 per annum is offered for this position, combined with various attractive company benefits.
