A global law firm is looking to secure a strong Commercial Litigation Associate or Senior Associate for a 12 month FTC. Candidates are likely to have in excess of 4 years' PQE in handing a diverse range of commercial litigation matters and be able to start a new role at short notice. The contract is to start within the next four to six weeks and is to cover a period of maternity leave. A strong commercial litigation background obtained within notable City, National or top tier Regional firms is required.
This role is assigned to one of the firm's regional offices and is easily accessible from London, northern Home Counties, and the Midlands. Candidates will only be required to go into the office for 1-2 days a week, and there may be instances where a weekly presence in the office is not required.
Whilst the role is assigned to one of the firm's regional offices, candidates will be working on very high quality, diverse, national, and international matters.
The Commercial Litigation team is very highly regarded for their work within the market. They advise on a broad range of disputes (often with an international element) involving commercial contracts, professional indemnity, commercial fraud, product liability, franchising, banking disputes, corporate disputes, and construction disputes. Their clients include financial institutions, banks, blue chip companies and individuals.
The successful individual joining this highly esteemed team will be afforded the opportunity to work closely with two Band 1 ranked Partners, have a high level of autonomy and responsibility, and strong client contact from the outset.
Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate:
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales or another commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia or New Zealand, for example)
- In excess of 4 years' PQE in handling a broad commercial litigation caseload
- Experience obtained from notable City, National or Top Tier Regional firms
- A keen eye for detail
- The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- A client-centric mindset
- The desire to join a well-regarded team for a contract of 12 months
- The ability to start a new role at short notice
